The Homeopathic Veterinarian:
Dr. Susan Krakauer
Dr. Susan Krakauer graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1997.
She developed an interest in alternative medicine during that time and
a particular interest in homeopathy. After practicing conventional medicine,
including a large and small animal rural practice and a busy emergency
clinic, she decided to pursue this passion. Susan is a certified veterinary
acupuncturist and is currently completing certification from the Academy
of Veterinary Homeopathy. She continues her studies with the Vancouver
Academy of Homeopathy as well as participating in advanced seminars with
internationally renowned homeopaths in order to expand her knowledge of
homeopathic remedies and their use in people and animals. Susan is fortunate
to have worked with various holistic veterinarians both in Vancouver and
on Vancouver Island, which has given her a wide range of clinical experience
and exposure to various treatment approaches.
 Outside of work and study, Susan enjoys being in the great outdoors with
her dog Bug and the new addition to the family Ricki. She can also be
found at home reading, trying to learn the accordion and catering to her
spoiled cat, Devi.
